After people had finished lunch, Spencer Leigh one of our honorary members read several letters and correspondences to Larry Parnes regarding Billy and commented on this extra insight into his career. Jenny then presented Jean Wycherley with a rare framed 78rpm disc of Billy's 'Maybe Tomorrow' which she was thrilled with. Then followed an auction of a hand painted shirt made by the very talented Dave Wilcox which brought a good sum and another framed disc of Maybe Tomorrow. The raffle was next and Jenny then thanked everyone for coming and looks forward to the Mill Hill meeting later in the year. Previously Jenny had announced that the statue is to remain in it's present postion rather than being moved into the new Liverpool museum which delighted everyone. Frankie Connor, another of the fan club honorary members popped in for a while to chat to everyone following his programme on Radio Merseyside. Jean and Albie made themselves available all afternoon to all who wanted to talk, have photographs and autographs...another wonderful day with fantastic people including Moya Gleave who ran Billy's fan club in the 60's and is over on a trip from New Zealand where she now lives and continues to keep Billy's name alive.
