BLACKPOOL BILLY FURY TRIBUTE WEEKEND
MARCH 2th - 4th 2012
There will be a big screen showing videos of Billy produced by Phil Shakespere and fantastic music curtesey of 'Nutty' Neil Williams. The brilliant Colin Paul hosts the weekend and along with The Persuaders also performs Billy Fury and other favourite's music. Guest artistes to be announced. Get your dancing shoes out and join us for a weekend of rock'n'roll!
The fan club will have a memorabilia stall open throughout the weekend offering CDs and DVDs for sale along with other Billy Fury merchandise.
The weekend will also be a tribute to Albie, Billy's brother who had always performed in Blackpool until he became very poorly.
SUNNYSIDE BILLY FURY TRIBUTE WEEKEND
MARCH 16th - 17th 2012
This will be the seventh event at the Northampton venue where Billy Fury made his last appearance in December 2002. There will be at least 15 support artistes and the headline act is Johnny Red who will perform his much acclaimed Billy Fury tribute. The Saturday 17th show will commence at around 3.30pm until late ... arrive at any time although best get there early for a good seat. The Sunnyside provides good meals at reasonable prices.
On Friday 16th from 7.30pm there will be a 'jam session', to which all ticket holders are invited free of charge. (Please bring your ticket to gain entry.) This will be at The Sunley Management Centre on the University of Northampton campus which is opposite Sunnyside. This is the base hotel for the weekend which is fully booked but there is plenty of accommodation in the local area.
After successful shows at Nottingham, Lytham St Annes and Mansfield Michael Parkinson’s Billy Fury Show goes to a venue overlooking the Mersey where Ronald Wycherley worked on the Tugboat “Formby” before finding fame as singer/songwriter Billy Fury. A totally different tribute show because fifty actual Billy Fury Decca and Parlophone recordings are accompanied by choreographed dance routines from:- Anamal Dance Company Hoylake: Claire Knight School Wirral: Nicky Figgins Stage School Blackpool: Wallasey School of Ballet Liscaard.

As usual, we will meet at the statue from 1.00pm and place flowers and cards on the plinth. We will then go to Blundell Street Club, the new venue which was a very bit hit with the fans who attended in 2011, from 2.00pm until 5.00pm. See link below for directions, those without transport will be able to get lifts but it is only a short walk away. Colin Paul will be there to entertain us, both singing live and playing Billy Fury music. Food and drink can be purchased and there will be a fan club merchandise stall, raffle and auction.
Billy's mother Jean will be there health allowing and she's always happy to chat with everyone. We hope to see you there.

The fan club are sponsoring an hour on the programme 'Good Rockin' Tonight' with DJ Dell Richardson who is a great fan of Billy's. We are asking fans to choose their favourite Billy track saying why they want it played Anyone who met Billy can tell of their experiences.
