Many people have been contacting Albie to ask how he is doing ............ unfortunately he's recently had a fall and broken two vertibrae in his neck. He was taken onto hospital initially to resite his vascular access for the dialysis but after complaining of severe pain for many days he was given an x-ray and the fractures were found. He's having to wait for the op now as his neck is immobilised in a collar for the next three months whilst the injury heals. He has to be very careful as movement of the neck could lead to paralysis. He came out of hospital on Friday 16th and is being cared for at home by his mother.
I'm sure you'll all want to wish him well and it might cheer him a little to know we're thinking about him. Sending love and best wishes from all at BFITOY Albie. xxx

OUR NEW BREAST CANCER SUPPORT CHARITY
The fan club have been asked by Albert and Jean to support a charity 'The Lily Centre' this year. The centre and its facilities are available to all women and men who have experienced breast cancer as well as their families and friends. It is supported by a family friend, Maureen Walsh, who is a presenter on BBC Radio Merseyside and who works to raise money for this important cause. She often plays Billy's songs and always remembers to mention our statue meetings on her Sunday morning shows. When all our charity donations are calculated at the end of the year, we will be happy to donate some of it to this charity alongside our Nobody's Child Appeal, Animal Welfare and other charities in Billy's name.
